Most users expect that imagepac will be more expensive than manually assembling using liquid resin and plastic. The reality is almost always the opposite.  imagepac is very cost effective, usually providing a saving of over 25% when waste and time are correctly accounted for.

Just input your own purchase prices for resin, damming tape, backing sheet and cover film and your cost of labour and the calculator will work out the true cost of a conventional liquid plate for you in different sizes.

Waste resin is rarely correctly accounted for; here we use a figure of 30%, but you can adjust that number if you want. Resin producers calculate that on average users should account for just over 30% wastage when using liquid polymer. This is the total of lots of small waste; over-fill on the exposure bed as well as spills down the bottle.
