Making stamps dry

  • To make your stamps dry to touch:
  • Add washing up liquid to the water (in addition to using the de-tack salt)
  • Elevate the tray to make it nearer the lights.
  • Dry the plate thoroughly before post exposure, this will remove the absorbed water which will slow the process down.
  • Use sunlight- (if you have it) this is a readily available source of UV, on a bright sunny day it will be more powerful than most bulbs
  • To make them even shinier put your sheet under the lights dry for 5 mins then place them under water at the end to take the surface tack off.
  • Use standard clear polymer, this is much quicker to get dry to touch than super clear.
